-My Choice
In class we often talk mostly about hiking, but I just wanted to talk about canoeing for a little. If you haven’t gone canoeing before I suggest you try it, because its lots of fun, and if you have gone canoeing before I’m sure you’d agree with me. I think canoeing and hiking are very similar with a few differences, but they’re similar in the sense that they’re both strenuous activities, both involve being outdoors viewing nature, both almost always have camping going along with them, and the two even have a chance to intertwine, for example while hiking you might need to canoe a short distance to get across a river, or when canoeing you’ll need to hike at some point (also know as portaging) because the water might be to rough or shallow to canoe. There main difference would obviously be canoeing is spent on the water, and hiking is spent mostly in the woods or on mountainous areas. However I think canoeing is very enjoyable from the fact that while canoeing on a lake you get a magnificent 360 degree view at all times of the water and the shoreline covered with trees or rocks or many other possible things.
