Robert Bogle #7 Stonehenge- the purpose

Herbert Stone:“The Purpose of Stonehenge.” Man 25. May (1925): 69-72.
In this article, Herbert Stone examines different theories that may explain the use for Stonehenge. He claims that there has been no other megalith examined more closely that Stonehenge. He claims that there are two main schools of thought among archaeologists for the purpose of Stonehenge. First, that it was designed for the worship of the sun, and incidentally became a calendar. Second, that Stonehenge was designed for some sepulchral purpose.
I find that the purpose of stonehenge is esential to understanding prehistoric man and vice versa.
