Marie Steinheiser: Experience of Nature #2
When we went on our trip to The Noland Trail, I could not help but be weary of what we were going to get ourselves into. Being a girl that is disconnected from nature, I knew I would only expect the worse. While I did not get an entire sense of being connected to nature, I did find things that were pleasant. It happened to be a beautiful day out, and there were ducks roaming around the field and venturing into the water. This was a beautiful sight to see; being an animal lover. There were flowers covering the open land, though not naturally placed there, they were still natural and beautiful. These are the pleasant things about nature that I often forget about. Nature is not all about hardship and survival, but about a land that is just for beauty and show. While we sometimes fear the open, we are never hesitant to find a bouquet of flowers beautiful. This is the effect of our modern ways. Harvesting the wild for our own idea of beauty.
