Kelley Brown- Nature #2

The other morning I went out to Lion's Gate Bridge and took a blanket and my Bible. I just sat there and, since it was about six thirty in the morning, the sun was just starting to really come out for the day. When I walked over towards the water I realized that there were twelve heron, all standing together in the water. It was such a crazy sight to see because I am used to only seeing one or two heron at a time, not twelve. It was so beautiful. I was able to then spread my blanket out and sit down on the grass. It was such a beautiful morning, the birds were out, the sun was coming up, and I was just able to sit and read. This was the first time in a while that I had been able to just get out and away from the hustle and bustle and just be still, with no worries. I love that nature can calm you and bring you such a peace--at least that is what it does for me.
