Annie Dillard: Pilgrim at Tinker Creek
Pilgrim at Tinker Creek is a non-fiction about the religious dedication and technique required for a pure religious experience in nature. The Tinker Creek is Dillard’s church that she attends regularly to observe God’s grace on earth in its purest and unaltered form. No hand of man created this place; it was God’s creation for man to enjoy. Too bad man is obtuse when it comes to matters of spirituality, because in today’s hustle and bustle world there is little room for it. I enjoyed reading it for its praise of the natural world.
