Herbert Stone -Stonehenge-The Heel Stone:68-69.
This article by Stone indicates that the most important, theorized, mysterious stone in
Stonehenge is the Heel Stone. It is located south-east of the axis point. The article points out that the Heel Stone might be a possible indicator of the midsummer sunrise at the time that Stonehenge was built. It is unknown what the stone’s use was, because it could simply be an extra stone that just looks like it is something significant.
I found that this article is free from the druid influence which tends to cloud most articles on Stonehenge. I will say that its brevity is refreshing and at the same time concerning.
