Marie Steinheiser: Topic of Choice #2

When we observe nature, we perceive it the way we want to. Our own views and thoughts of nature and what it stands for is reflected in how we truely see it. If a person embraces nature and all that it has to give, they cherish the moments they spend in it. While if a person despises nature they find all of its elements a burden, rather than something to be used for a purpose. I know i personally am not one to enjoy nature for an extended period of time. I may find a sunset or field of flowers beautiful, but anything longer than an hour or a few days is too much of a good thing. I only look at nature on a surface level, rather than analyze its true meaning. I am like many other individuals; people from modern times. Our link to nature is our vision and if we only touch on its surface, than we will never fully understand the wild, or come to love it or atleast respect it and its inhabitants.
