In the defense of literacy, practicality is defined as making the most amount of money inthe shortest amount of time. practical also means that the purpose of education is the mass production of producers and consumers. which is a perversion. By their ignorance people enfranchise their exploiters. This article still goes back to the topic of having aand living in a corrupt society, that only cares about making a quick buck. Kids these days are getting less literate and less knowledgeable. It is all the standardized tests. The pollute the teaching and education. The state is saying what needs to be taught. Which is wrong, it should ultimately come back to the parents. They should have the say as to what their kids are taught in school. These standardized tests are creating and reinforcing this consumer culture, and perpetuating the problem. Education is a joke these days, and our language will soon be a joke too.
