Wendell Berry said, "If we are to be properly humble in our use of the world, we need places that we do not use at all. We need the experience of leaving something alone." By this I believe he is saying that to truly honor the world we need to leave parts of it alone with no human interference. Nature is not entirely nature unless it is left alone. When humans put their own personal stamp on what they perceive to be nature it then is no longer nature. If you go to a forest park it is maintained by park rangers. This affects the purity of the forest because the rangers may alter the sanctity of the forest. When human interference occurs nature is no longer truly nature.
