Wendell Berry said in The Unsettling of America, “The soil is the great connector of our lives, the source and destination of all.” This is a very interesting quote. From soil comes things like plants, fruits, vegetables, and flower. Life is given to those things by the soil and all the nutrients in it. When a person dies their final resting place is in the ground surrounded by soil. If a plant dies it decomposes then goes back into the soil, so in a way soil can give life and take life.
