Kevin Dessimoz: The Practice of the Wild
In The Practice of the Wild Gary Snyder attempts to define the word nature. This is nearly an impossible term to define because my view of nature and his view of nature could be two completely different things. He gives a few different meanings of nature, although, I feel Snyder did a stellar job with the term. One meaning he gives is "the physical universe and all it’s properties." This is a very broad definition and leaves much to scrutinize. I feel though that Snyder's other definitions were precise enough to give the reader a specific definition of nature.
