Kevin Dessimoz: The Practice of the Wild #2

Wendell Berry said, "It would appear that the common conception of evolution is that of competing species running a sort of race through time on planet earth, all on the same running field, some dropping out, some flagging, some victoriously in front." This is how he feels people view evolution which is in some ways true. The stronger animals should naturally survive and the weaker ones will die. The ones who do survive will slowly over generations evolve to have better abilities for survival. There are many views on evolution and if it is true or not but the view Berry presents is a very basic view held by most people who believe in evolution.
