Kevin Dessimoz: Annie Dillard #2
Another quote from Three that sparked my interest was, "No; we have been as usual asking the wrong question. It does not matter a hoot what the mockingbird on the chimney is singing.... The real and proper question is: Why is it beautiful?" It led me to think why is nature beautiful to some people as where others couldn't care less about nature. Shouldn't everyone on Earth cherish nature and the world they live in? Certain individuals devote their lives to saving the Earth from things like pollution, where as others pollute the Earth on a regular basis. Of course no one can be perfect and most people on the Earth travel by car which is a heavy pollutant, but I am more concerned with people who would just openly litter like it is not a big deal. Things like that are what is causing the world to become more and more polluted each day. The more people pollute the less nature we have due to trees and animals dying from all the pollution. If people would attempt each day to pollute less then the world would be a much cleaner place.
