Kelsey Garegnani - running

I do not get a chance to be in nature very often. the demands of my schedual and activities normally call me to be near modern technologies, like computers for hw, and buildings, for class. This is one reason, though, i enjoy running so much. When i go running, its my chance to clear my mind and leave my normal surroundings and go into nature. My favorite place to run in the Nolan Trail.  It offers the solitude and submersion into nature that i desire while still being able to accomplish a part of my daily routine.  this becomes my time to clear my mind and talk to the Lord or just think and reflect.  You would think i would be able to do that no matter where i run but really where i run is everything.  If i run through neighborhoods or around campus i am bombarded by distractions and extra stimuli that invade my thoughts and prayers.  Nature in its calm and collected beauty offers just the perfect balance of thought provoking and mind settling atmosphere.  Its something i always look forward to and i have noticed, when my schedule get too busy and i do not have time to run,  there is a longing that entices me to go again.  It has become a part of my life that i will never be able to stop because now that i have seen how great it is i would not be able to forget.
