kelsey garegnani - nature = god

My personal experience with nature has shown me not only the power and force but also the small detail and precision that it contains. In my mind, this has always pointed me to God and his superior wisdom and perfection. It is through my belief in this that i do see wilderness or nature as an axis mundi because it is continually showing me my insignificance and pointing to His superior authority and power. It is through this realization and mindset that i find nature a sanctuary to commune with God away form my surroundings of temporal manmade thing. Nature is then a place of comfort and solace for me. This is not because of an effect or value nature has in itself but because of its connection to God as His creation. In C.S. Lewis's Four Loves, He talks about how true nature enthusiasts appreciate nature for what it tells them through its mood. I sort of like looking at individual beautiful things though. I guess I'm not a true nature enthusiast then. The individual beauty that stands out is just a important to me as the overall message of nature. If God put all that detail in small things such as flowers and bugs shouldn't we notice even the little works of his hands?
