Kelsey garegnani - humility in nature, my observations
One of the things i discussed earlier was how man made creations can in no way compare to the work of God's hands. Nature will always command awe in its perfection even down to the minute detail, while human works remain flawed no matter how beautiful. But why then do we surround ourselves with man's creation and seek to escape nature? I think that the reason goes back to the effect nature has on humans. It creates a place that encourages divine communication through reminding humans of their humility and smallness in all of creation. Feeling minute and insignificant is hard for humans. I believe that we have continually tried to gain control over our surrounding in an attempt to be more powerful and forget our smallness. The tower of babel comes to my mind as an instance..though there are many even now...where humans tried to contest gods power by establishing their own through man made buildings. Why are we so scared of being small and un-powerful? Because, it is only through that realization that we can discover the hope in the power of the Lord.
